Job Overview
Reports to:Mechanical Shop Foreman
Shift: 5x2- Monday to Friday, 8 hours/ day
Location:Edmonton, AB
Safety Sensitive: Yes- Drug & Alcohol testing, Physical Demand Fit testing, RCMP Criminal Record Check and submission of 5 year Provincial driving record will be required
Relocation:This position does not offer relocation
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose problems in electric motor systems
+ Dismantle electric motors and other electrical and mechanical equipment for servicing, modification, or repair
+ Armature winding
+ AC, DC, and Generator winding
+ Troubleshooting and Evaluating equipment
+ Wind and assemble various types of coils for electric motors or transformers and reinstall
+ Balance armatures or rotors
+ Weld and braze or solder electrical connections
+ Align and adjust parts to close tolerances in order to reassemble items
+ Complete relevant repair paperwork
Qualifications
+ Journeyperson Electric Motor Systems Technician with Armature rewind experience
+ Experience with electric motor repair, including all aspects of the trade
+ Good organizational and planning skills
+ Strong standard for quality and safety
+ Team oriented approach and thought process
+ Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
