Job Description HII – Mission Technologies Corp is looking for a Journeyman Systems Engineer to plan, program, coordinate, and control the technical executions of engineering functions to meet program requirements for the B-21 program at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio by developing technical engineering programs, plans, and objectives and establish technical milestones for the progress of assigned systems through the total acquisition life cycle Must have a TS/SCI Clearance

  Essential Job Responsibilities Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested. Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02. Assist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201. Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs Support requirements development, allocation, and verification Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports Minimum Qualifications Journeyman level must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Two (2) of these years must be in a special access DoD acquisition program as a sub-system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I program. Experience with technical risk management Top Secret/SCI clearance Make formal and informal presentations and prepare technical reports and papers in the technical areas of expertise, and participate in conferences and discussions relating to assigned systems. Must have no less than two (2) years’ experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last four (4) years. Five (5) years of electrical engineering / avionics engineering experience as a Department of Defense (DoD) civilian or DoD contractor  Familiar with the DoD acquisitions process Experience with the systems engineering process, requirements analysis, system design process, system integration, requirements verification / validation, and Development Test / Operational Test (DT/OT) processes.  Experience providing technical management of DoD contractors and be capable of managing the technical execution and evaluation of DoD systems, subsystems, and components during development.  Experience evaluating technical proposals in order to provide advice on the evaluation of technical proposals.  Preferred Requirements
