Job Information US - Database Administrator IV
Description We are seeking a Database Administrator IV based in Boca Raton, Florida. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, allowing the successful candidate to work in a remote setting across all US time zones. The Database Administrator IV will be part of a highly collaborative team, working in a technologically diverse environment which includes our best-in-class enterprise data centers and cloud-based environments. Responsibilities: • Assist in migrating MySQL Database Replication systems to new hardware while ensuring zero downtime. • Contribute to a team where best practices and standards are followed and all members are empowered to achieve success. • Support the database management system and all related software. • Design and build database environments. • Utilize your extensive MySQL technical experience to maintain high availability solutions using replication and disaster recovery solutions. • Perform database and disk system performance tuning. • Implement security administration measures. • Conduct MySQL patches and major version upgrades. • Utilize your experience with DevOPS tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, GitLab using one or more programming languages such as Python, Perl, etc on bare metal and virtual environments. • Collaborate with team members to support data warehousing and ETL processing. • Handle multiple assignments and additional responsibilities with a detail-oriented approach. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience in providing Technical Support • A deep understanding of Database management • Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration • Ability in Design and Implementation of database structures • Familiarity with the software 'About Time' • Experience with Hiring Processes • Knowledge of Production and Quality control methods • Expertise in MySQL, SQL, Python languages • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies • Experience in Selling and Collaboration • Understanding of Best Practices in database administration • Ability to liaise with Suppliers • Experience in handling Upgrades and Migrations • Proficiency in KPI Reporting • Programming skills • Knowledge of GitHub • Familiarity with Linux • Degree in Computer Sciences or related field Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
