We are looking for a JIRA Developer to join our growing team in Remote, US (Chicago, IL).

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

JIRA Administration:

Manage user permissions, roles, and groups. Create and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, and screens. Monitor JIRA system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

 

Development & Customization:

Design and implement custom JIRA workflows, post-functions, and validators using scripting tools like ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira. Develop plugins or integrations with other systems (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, ServiceNow). Automate routine processes using REST APIs, webhooks, and JIRA automation rules.

 

Support & Maintenance:

Provide day-to-day support to end users for JIRA-related queries and issues. Maintain system documentation, configurations, and procedures. Perform regular system audits and implement best practices for JIRA management.

 

Reporting & Dashboards:

Build advanced dashboards and reports using JQL and marketplace add-ons. Support project tracking and management with tailored visualizations for different teams.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years of experience with JIRA administration and development. Hands-on experience with JIRA plugins/add-ons (e.g., ScriptRunner, JMWE, BigPicture). Proficiency with JQL, REST APIs, and automation tools. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-120) are a plus.

 

Nice to Have:

Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, or other DevOps tools. Experience supporting regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with compliance or audit requirements. Experience in migrating or upgrading Atlassian tools.
