Job Description

Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Jira administrator to work in our San Antonio, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force’s Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems mission. The ideal candidate will have ​experience working on complex systems​. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.Test new versions of the Jira tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.Maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and users to include adding external plug-ins and modifying JQL as needed.Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration.Manage Incident ticket data for reporting and data analyticsFocus on business operations with the use of Jira and translate that analysis to visualizations.Implement Automation Rules: Design and implement automation workflows to streamline processes, improve productivity, and reduce manual tasks within Jira.Provide Jira Support and Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting Jira issues, resolving technical challenges, and assisting users with Jira-related queries.User Training and Onboarding: Train new users and teams on Jira best practices, functionalities, and features; ensure smooth onboarding for all users.Monitor System Performance: Regularly monitor Jira performance and user activity to identify and resolve potential issues or bottlenecks in the system.Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and project managers to gather requirements and implement Jira configurations that meet project needs.Maintain and Update Jira Integrations: Oversee integration of Jira with Confluence.

​Basic Qualifications:

Requires BS and less then 2 years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. Strong Understanding of process workflows: In-depth knowledge of workflow configuration, custom fields, issue types, and transitions to optimize team processes.Basic Scripting Skills: Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) and basic scripting.Ability to Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with performance, configuration, and user-related issues.Strong Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical functionality to non-technical stakeholders and provide training and support to end users.Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain clean, organized configurations and data to ensure accuracy and efficiency in project tracking.Proven ability to work well within a team/collaborative environment.IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)Must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.Original Posting:April 21, 2025

Pay Range:Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
