The Micron Module Architecture team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer, or Member of Technical Staff! This role would be a part of our Central Engineering team (CE). CE at Micron drives innovation and excellence in semiconductor technology by delivering innovative solutions that power our global manufacturing operations. **The Role:**
This CE team is responsible for driving the development of industry-leading differentiated memory solutions for our customers in the data center and AI application space. In this role, your primary responsibility is to drive innovative solutions at the board level, in collaboration with our product architects, chip designers, SI engineers, power architects, memory controller architects, and validation engineers to craft power-efficient, high-bandwidth, space-optimized memory modules. Additionally, you will run simulations for functional and electrical performance analysis and develop specs for new and advanced HW architectures, including electrical, mechanical, thermal, and power specs. You will drive the board-level design (BLD) process, ensuring the successful integration of hardware components and subsystems.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Craft power models of various components for end-to-end system power consumption analysis and optimization.
+ Review and implement power-efficient architecture features and techniques within the hardware design.
+ Optimize power consumption for specific workloads and real-time system activities.
+ Collaborate with thermal engineers to ensure effective cooling for power and heat dissipation.
+ Balance trade-offs between power consumption and performance requirements for specific applications.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ 10+ years in defining and crafting aspects of power electronics systems.
+ 8+ years in power management techniques and design methodologies.
+ 8+ years experience in power modeling tools and simulation software.
+ Validated experience in memory sub-system and computer architecture, and experience programming in C/C++.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years experience with analog or digital power design.
+ 5+ years of experience with circuit design and layout considerations related to power integrity.
+ Attention to quality, ability to clearly articulate, and a continuous improvement attitude.
+ Strong mentoring capability and willingness to collaborate.
