Job Description A client in the financial services technology industry is seeking a Java Engineer to join its Enterprise Identity organization. As part of an Agile Scrum team, the Engineer will partake in scrum meetings, being assigned user stories, and working on new development as well as testing and improving existing code. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about code quality, learning continuously new technologies and knows what questions to ask to get answers. Their fundamental experience should be backend engineering with an advanced knowledge of Java, Spring, both relational and NoSQL databases, as well as design patterns and design principles. They should also have a general understanding of authorizations and JWT tokens. This is a hybrid onsite position 3 days weekly in Sunrise, FL, and the pay is $60-80/hr depending on experience. Skills and Requirements 5+ years' experience as a Backend Java Engineer Expertise around Java 8, 11 and more recent versions, core Java Strong experience building microservices in Spring boot Knowledge of Spring ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) or similar like Hibernate Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, use cases and how they each differ and benefit Good understanding of design principles like SOLID, high coding standards and design patterns (i.e. Singleton, Factory) Understanding of JWT and authorization Strong unit testing knowledge with JUnit, Mockito, or similar Strong technical communication skills null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
