Overview of the role 

We are looking for one (1) Lobby Attendant/Janitor, one for the 2nd Shift (3:00pm – 12:00am).

The Lobby Attendant/Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel’s lobbies, public restrooms, and common areas. The role includes regular cleaning tasks, special projects, and guest interactions to ensure a welcoming environment for all hotel guests.

What you have 

High School diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in hospitality or janitorial services preferredExcellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic ability to use technology such as tablets or iPads.Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting over 50 pounds.

What you’ll do 

Cleaning and MaintenanceLobbies & Public Areas: Clean and maintain all lobbies, public restrooms, and front desk areas. Ensure that mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators, and doors are spotless and mark-free.Entrances & Exteriors: Sweep and mop carpets and lobby entrances, keeping the front of the hotel free from trash.Furniture & Fixtures: Polish and inspect furniture and fixtures for any damages, such as tears, rips, or stains, and report any issues.Elevators: Vacuum and polish elevators regularly.Trash Removal: Remove all trash from designated areas.Supply Restocking: Restock all necessary supplies, including toilet paper, soap, and hand towels, in the lobby washrooms.Surface Cleaning: Ensure all surfaces, including floors, are clean and tidy.Guest InteractionGuest Assistance: Respond to guest requests and inquiries while in the lobby, assisting with directions or other needs.Special Project ResponsibilitiesDeep Cleaning: Pressure wash common areas, clean and scrub building concrete floors, and buffer/extract carpets in rooms and common areas.Room Maintenance: Deep clean specific areas in rooms, including floors, carpet, shower walls, faucets, and showerheads.Event Setup: Assist with setting up and moving tables and chairs as needed for events.Team Support: Be available to assist other positions in the housekeeping department when needed.Physical Tasks: Ability to move, push, and carry items over 50 pounds.Artisan & Pantry ResponsibilitiesMinibar Maintenance: Refill minibar products in rooms and remove expired products.Inventory Management: Update the Artisan & Pantry Book daily with expiration dates and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pantry closet and cart.
