Position Summary:
\r\nPosition is responsible for janitor tasks throughout the Ozark Plant and Truck Shop, including hallways, restrooms, stairs, closets, entrances, sidewalks, locker area, cafeteria, and additional assigned areas.
\r\nEssential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
\r\n\r\n\r\nGeneral cleaning to include sweeping, moping, wiping surfaces.
\r\n\r\n\r\nEmptying trash receptacles of various sizes.
\r\n\r\n\r\nCleaning bathrooms to include private single-stall bathrooms and large multi-stall bathrooms. This includes sinks, toilets, urinals, floors, stall surfaces, etc.
\r\n\r\n\r\nRestock supplies as needed and inventory as required.
\r\n\r\n\r\nWash windows, small appliances, walls, and a variety of other surfaces.
\r\n\r\n\r\nPick up debris/trash in assigned areas.
\r\n\r\n\r\nUse a variety of cleaning tools/machines to perform tasks.
\r\n\r\n\r\nWill sub in Supply Room and other areas as needed.
\r\n\r\n\r\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\r\n\r\n\r\nFollows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.
\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment.
\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.
\r\n\r\n\r\nAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMust pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical.
\r\n\r\n\r\nSome positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English.
\r\n\r\n\r\nPhysical Requirements:
\r\n\r\n\r\nStanding (8 hours a day or more).
\r\n\r\n\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more).
\r\n\r\n\r\nReaching/working overhead.
\r\n\r\n\r\nOperating hand held and/or mechanical machinery.
\r\n\r\n\r\nWalking/climbing stairs. Gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists.
\r\n\r\n\r\nBending and stooping for long periods of time.
\r\n\r\n\r\nWorking Conditions/Department Description:
\r\n\r\n\r\nDay shift hours are 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
\r\n\r\n\r\nThere is mandatory seasonal work for approximately 5 to 6 weeks during the months of October and November, which includes working 7 days per week.
\r\n\r\n\r\nJob assignments are subject to the supervisor’s discretion, and job duties may vary day-to-day depending on department needs.
\r\n\r\n\r\nMay work in damp, cold, hot, and warm environments.
\r\n\r\n\r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery
\r\n\r\n\r\nWork with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors
