Position Pay:  Base pay plus shift premium of $1.00 for 2nd shift.  No job premium available.

Position Summary: 

\r\n

Position is responsible for janitor tasks throughout the Ozark Plant and Truck Shop, including hallways, restrooms, stairs, closets, entrances, sidewalks, locker area, cafeteria, and additional assigned areas.

\r\n

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

\r\n\r\n\r\n

General cleaning to include sweeping, moping, wiping surfaces.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Emptying trash receptacles of various sizes.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cleaning bathrooms to include private single-stall bathrooms and large multi-stall bathrooms.  This includes sinks, toilets, urinals, floors, stall surfaces, etc.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Restock supplies as needed and inventory as required.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Wash windows, small appliances, walls, and a variety of other surfaces.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pick up debris/trash in assigned areas.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Use a variety of cleaning tools/machines to perform tasks.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Will sub in Supply Room and other areas as needed.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English.

Physical Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Standing (8 hours a day or more).

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more).

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Reaching/working overhead.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Operating hand held and/or mechanical machinery.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Walking/climbing stairs.  Gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Bending and stooping for long periods of time.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Working Conditions/Department Description:

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Day shift hours are 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

There is mandatory seasonal work for approximately 5 to 6 weeks during the months of October and November, which includes working 7 days per week.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Job assignments are subject to the supervisor’s discretion, and job duties may vary day-to-day depending on department needs.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

May work in damp, cold, hot, and warm environments.

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Work with loud and noisy machinery

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Work with or around chemicals/fumes/pungent odors

\r\n\r\n\r\n
