IWS Assistant Manager

 

Is fully responsible for the deployment of global IWS strategy on site. Sets local strategies, master plan activities, employee engagement activities, loss elimination ideas, and results delivery. Leads the company to achieving all IWS KPIs through reporting IWS team. Responsible for achieving mindset change, creating new standards, creating a culture of excellence by employee ownership, focusing on zero loss approach, and ongoing improvement of production capabilities. Continually expanding and enhancing knowledge levels of Integrated Work Systems and expands the knowledge of the team. Responsible for people development and ongoing budget monitoring.

 

As the IWS Assistant Manager in the area of Make & Pack, you will: 

 

Strategy:

Creates local strategy to reflect global vision/regional structures Takes all necessary actions to broaden the knowledge about the IWS concept across the organization Coach and lead the factory leadership team through pillar ownership and develop an understanding of the IWS strategy within the organization Gives clear direction to the IWS management team related to the scope of responsibilities, and work standards, sets up and executes agreed KPI,s and sets priorities

 

IWS start-up and Run-To-Target (RTT) Accelerator deployment:

The role is essential in driving the preparation activities to enable the RTT Line deployment, as: 

Drive people selection process to fill all prerequisite roles of the Line Structure Team, Line Structure Coaches & if required Internal Trainer team. In addition, champion Lead Line selection, lead data acquisition, and analysis to develop the Lead Line baseline Develop a communication strategy to inform key stakeholders of IWS/RTT initiation Put in place the  required infrastructure (i.e., DDS room, boards) for RTT kick-off Oversee training and pre-deployment events with EY, as well as regular preparation calls   During the RTT Lead Line deployment: partner with the EY deployment team as required

 

Culture:

Lead mindset change is driven by IWS implementation on the site Responsible for proper deployment of continuous improvement culture and zero-loss mindset across the teams Implement the PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) cycle Develop operating OGSM (Objective, Goal, Strategy, Measure) for the site and ensure this is linked to the group OGSM and implement the CBN (Compelling Business Need)

 

IWS Capabilities:

Work with the factory leadership to identify necessary capabilities owners and support them in planning for the development of such capabilities Share best practices and learning with other factories in support of the deployment of the IWS Pillars Be a Pillar Owner for Loss Elimination (LE) Pillar Coach the factory leadership team through the IWS implementation, including Pillar activation

 

Financials:

Responsible for creating and constantly monitoring of the budget enabling implementation and day-to-day operations in line with the IWS concept at a factory level - closely cooperate with the finance department

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred from an accredited college or university 5 or more years of relevant work experience within a production environment (preferably Production Director) IWS experience preferred (Minimum lean Six Sigma or similar lean system experience) Functional Skills: Strong Change Management skills Solid understanding of Manufacturing operations and Production Technologies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Continuous improvement mindset English communication skills - fluent
