Job description:
Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain ETL and Reporting technologies in private and public cloud.
Ensure efficient configurations, regular backups, and performance monitoring for all systems.
Ensure all technoligies installation and configurations are designed with security standards.
Performance Optimization:
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of all configurations.
Backup and Recovery Solutions:
Implement and manage comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Test recovery processes regularly to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime in case of system failures.
Audit, Security and Compliance:
Ensure security hardening for all configurations and compliance with audit requirement.
Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and ensure audit trails for all activity.
Automation and Scripting:
Automate routine administrative tasks for using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and cloud automation tools (Terraform, AWS Lambda, Azure Automation, Microsoft CoPilot, Cloudbees, GITHub).
Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Terraform or APIs to streamline repeated tasks
Monitoring and Alerts:
Set up proactive monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, custom scripts and native monitoring tools.
Track real-time metrics such as CPU, memory, disk usage.
Capacity Planning and Scalability:
Plan for growth and ensure scalable architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management:
Follow strict change management protocols for modifying production-level ensuring detailed rollback plans and minimal disruption to business operations.
Application Patching and Upgrades:
Apply regular patches and upgrades to servers, clients, connectors ensuring security and compatibility across cloud and on-prem systems.
Collaboration with stake holders:
Collaborate with cloud, application, and DevOps teams to integrate and optimize build of applications.
Participate in architecture discussions and provide recommendations for scalable, secure, and cost-effective deployments.
Documentation and Best Practices:
Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, backup procedures, run books, and performance optimization strategies.
Ensure best practices are followed for data security, cost management, and performance tuning.
Regular Reviews:
Review and optimize cloud resource usage and costs, identifying areas for improved efficiency and scalability.
Required Skills:
Primary Skills: Informatica Power Center (70%), Alteryx, Power BI, Cognos, IICS, ILM, Sapiens, Terraform, Cloudbees Jenkins, Github.
Secondary Skills: Ansible, Cloud Platforms – AWS and Azure, SAS, SPSS, ODI
