The Integrated Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (iTHRIV) at the University of Virginia (UVA) is hiring a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to serve as the iTHRIV Research Concierge Services Manager. iTHRIV serves as the “front door” for researchers and community members across a multi-institutional collaboration in Virginia. iTHRIV provides training and support services to accelerate clinical and translational research. The Research Concierge Services Manager will coordinate with research service teams across Grounds at UVA, and serve as the liaison for research support for iTHRIV partner and collaborator institutions.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Serve as the project manager for clinical and translational research resources and events for iTHRIV. Lead the concierge services team to provide personalized expert assistance to diverse study teams.Provide project management for iTHRIV Resources and Services Core, working with iTHRIV leadership to optimize communication and collaboration across iTHRIV institutions.Develop resources to optimize connections for researchers with industry-sponsored and/or federally-funded research opportunities.Identify barriers to optimal study design, implementation and dissemination and collaborate with teams to develop and implement solutions to these barriers.Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with key central resources within various offices at UVA and with iTHRIV partners and collaborators to facilitate clinical translational researchAdvise and consult with research teams on potential internal and external funding opportunitiesProvide resources for grant development.Advise and consult with clinical investigators and research teams on individual study projects, focusing on study feasibility, initiation issues and best practices.Develop and conduct training in feasibility assessments.Serves as central resource for the research community to provide expertise and guidance on issues, operational goals, ethical considerations, regulatory issues, and institutional policies related to human subjects research.Collaborate with iTHRIV service providers to support community organization requests for resources and services in clinical and translational research.Provide support for the iTHRIV Research Concierge Portal, including providing personalized trainings and approving content submitted by users.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: At least four years of experience. For the senior level, at least seven years of experience is required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

This is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. Anticipated Hiring Range: Starting at $90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
