Requirements Gathering - understand the client and project requirements (both functional and non-functional) by studying the existing documentation and assimilating inputs from Business Analysts/SMEs and seeking clarifications, if any, to participate efficiently in the Development and Testing phases of the project Understand the functional requirements and provide high level design solutions. Review the Design Documents and create Design Specifications as per the high-level design, and create Unit Test Plans in order to develop / validate / maintain the application as per the requirements Understand application architecture document and seek inputs from the architecture / design team to understand the overall architecture in order to provide deliverables that are in line with architectural requirements Prepare impact analysis and estimation documents. As-Is and To-Be process mapping Understand the existing system and way the changes need to be implemented for To-be process. Create data mapping documents by analyzing the flow of data that are spread across various applications. Build the ETL code based on the design, validate whether client s requirements are met and perform the unit testing. User acceptance and system testing support planning; Status tracking and reporting; Project/Release planning and Implementation; Consulting and coordination with offshore team; Risk management; Production Defect FixesArchitecture Review:
Understand the architectural requirements and document the understanding as Functional design documents Review the understanding document with Architectural community Prepare data flow analysis document for the AS-IS system and To-be system and get it reviewed by Architects Ensure design guideline are followed for each of deliverables Creation of data model and data mapping documents by doing various activity like Data profilingDesign Review:
Prepare Impact analysis document by analyzing the existing system and identifying the impact due to the change. Prepare ETL design documents and Data flow document from source system to the data warehouse system and get it reviewed with Architectural community. Identify the risks and call out the expectations during the review process. Document the key decisions made since they will drive the way the ETL code is written.Implement relevant Software Development Life Cycle activities:
Understand the client and project requirements (both functional and non-functional) by studying the existing documentation and assimilating inputs from Business Analysts/SMEs and seeking clarifications, if any, to participate efficiently in the Development and Testing phases of the project. Participate in knowledge transfer session with development team Create program specifications and unit test plans for software programs by studying functional and non-functional requirements and the application architecture document and converting the assigned functionalities into pseudo code/algorithms/test cases Develop code using knowledge of relevant technology as per design specifications and document artifacts such as unit test scripts, etc. independently and support peers in identifying code defects and ensuring that the output is as per the given specifications and SLAs. Create the user documentation for programs assigned with guidance from supervisor using their knowledge of relevant technology, business requirements and understanding of the client application. Perform testing - self and independent (Functional, Integration, System) - as per defined processes and guidelines to ensure accurate program output; identify and resolve defects, if any Work on Go Live activities as per the Implementation plan and manage any issues related to functionalities, user interface, performance, etc. that may arise. Participate in and prepare content for Knowledge Transfer sessions, document the understanding, take on Shadow Support.Team co-ordination and Stakeholder Management:
Communicate interdependencies across multiple team within own area, drives convergence across these teams to ensure smooth functioning of the teams Onsite-offshore co-ordination: Coordinate Offshore Team by providing daily updates on all Project tasks and impart knowledge thorough Documentation and Knowledge Transfer sessions.Customer Relationship Management:
Anticipate customer needs and provide inputs for various solution Analyze and constantly improve systems, processes and nature of service being provided to ensure customer delight Bring unresolved issues with the client, understand stakeholder views and resolve the issuesMinimum years of experience*: 7+
