Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in using data science and/or Machine Learning to produce solutions to business problems in the financial sector Expert level experience High Performance Computing and Scientific computing Experience extracting data from SQL and NOSQL Data Stores as well as the transformation of data to support analysis. Experience in Python, R, or other suitable frameworks Experience with MapReduce, MPI, HPC, Cloud etc Experience with Deep Learning tech like TensorFlow Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision - making skills and experience Ability to balance between most ideal and most pragmatic solutions that meet the business needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Reviews existing data sources and potential data sources to identify meaningful and relevant data sources and features that can drive automation. Trains, Creates, and Validates models that can be used to solve business problems. Develops software programs and modules that transform data, features, and perform post processing as necessary to operationalizing models. Explains how to interpret and translate models into business rules that can be used to drive business outcomes. Recommends changes to the Data Platform Architecture that support the analysis of data and data science efforts Supervises Models and other deployed artifacts to ensure ongoing business fit. Recommends Application Architecture and Data Architecture changes that can lead to better business outcomes from the use of data and machine learning. Performs in depth technical analysis, research, proof of concepts, and evaluations as required to validate that the recommendations made are sound and will not introduce risk into IT Execution Collaborates with other members of IT to define improvements that drive business capabilities and optimization to create efficiency, quality, and agility Prepares presentations, documents, diagrams, models, and other artifacts as required to communicate analysis, recommendations, or designs.
