CACI is seeking a System Engineer (SE) to hit the ground running on a global, highly visible program in the IC, of which we are the prime. A SE is responsible for leading a small team of engineers supporting customer initiatives and operational process improvement projects, focusing on enhancing productivity and delivery for Cloud-based operations. The SE is accountable for developing, and managing scalable server infrastructure tools, with a focus on OS build, deployment automation, and automate Linux systems using Puppet and Ansible while ensuring system availability and security. The SE will design, implement ServiceNow architecture and solutions; and will conduct data analysis and document identified waste, coordinate cross-functional project schedules, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. The SE will maintain complex information technology systems within an organization, ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of ServiceNow environments; and facilitates the management of hardware, software, networks, and system integrations, often involving troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring performance, and collaborating with other cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

More About the Role
• Support and/or participate in improving how we support new or updated services and infrastructure to increase productivity and enhance the end-user experience and our internal systems.
• Process improvement efforts include identifying and removing waste within our internal processes and executing operational improvement opportunities that will delight our internal and external customers.
• Aid Security and Compliance teams engaged in Audit, Documentation, Training, Risk Assessment and other Security and Compliance related deliverables.
• Develop key performance indicators to measure success within technical domain.
• Designing and developing ServiceNow system architecture, including hardware and software components, to meet functional requirements.
• Installing, configuring, and deploying server resources provided by third-party cloud services. and software updates.
• Proactively monitoring system performance, identifying potential issues, and troubleshooting technical problems for all environments.
• Assessing system resource usage and planning for future capacity needs. Plans for data ingestion from different legacy sources, makes design decisions on that data and works to reconcile data based on the chosen authoritative source
• Implementing and enforcing security policies to protect system integrity and data privacy. Engineer, implement and monitor Splunk security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Establishing and maintaining data backup procedures to ensure system resilience in case of failures.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to system performance and efficiency. Utilizes current best practices for CMDB procedures and provides input or feedback for continuous improvement of Asset and Configuration Management best practices
• Working with different teams like development, operations, and business users to gather requirements and address system concerns.
• Evaluating and managing relationships with hardware and software vendors. Develops and matures Configuration Management User Interface in Service Now
• Creating technical documentation for system configurations and maintaining system-related reports. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for all designed and developed that ensures detailed project documentation.
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement.
• Document all system configuration changes in accordance with Information Systems Security best practices.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter.Strong documentation and verbal communication skills to collaborate with and convey focused messages to stakeholders, customers, domain experts, program managers and teammates encompassing architecture, high-level and detail system designs.Experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining enterprise level IT systems such as ServiceNow.Experience developing, building and deploying software using Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, and Ansible, and open-source container orchestration systems.Experience deploying cloud-based enterprise level applications such as in AWS and Azure.Experience with Risk Management Frameworks.Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.BS degree in Computer Science or related field; or 7- plus years of experience in lieu of a degree.Security + Certification.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$102,900 - $216,200
