Banner Health is currently seeking an experienced candidate for an **IT Systems Engineer IV** position which is responsible for supporting large Enterprise Active Directory (both on-premise and in Entra ID formerly Azure AD), and DNS/DHCP/IPAM (DDI), supporting over 100,000 users. Responsibilities include administration of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Microsoft Entra Connect (AD Connect), Conditional Access Policies (CAPs), onboarding Single Sign-On (SSO) applications, authentication methods, DFS, PKI, using SCCM for management of Microsoft patching as well as an extensive DDI infrastructure which spans several states and locations. You will join a motivated and professional team which supports both internal teams and external vendors. **In this role you would work a typical schedule Monday-Friday 8a-5p with some schedule flexibility, with a regular On-Call rotation where you will provide 24x7 support of our critical production systems.** Occasional after-hours work will also be required. Most all work can be done remotely, with a possible but infrequent visit to a corporate office, clinical site, or data center. In this role , an ideal candidate would possess proficiencies in project management, time management skills, multitasking, strong documentation and communications skills. POSITION SUMMARY This position is a seasoned expert that demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge for infrastructure and communications processes and supports system defined objectives relative to the company’s business and healthcare requirements. Interacts as project leader for large scale projects and is able to lead, plan, design, implement and support all company Information Technology infrastructure, networks, hardware and applications. Provides leadership to team, directing day to day operations. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Business Outcomes: Relentless focus on delivering outcomes and value to our business. Reviews team member's designs end user training and curriculum for applications and systems. Assures complete plan for the initial rollout and ongoing training of the user community. Influences and sponsors cross-organizational decisions on work prioritization, resource allocation and long-range standards of performance. Takes calculated, high level risks that commit significant organizational resources to deliver significant business outcomes. 2. Technology Standards: Mentors junior team members in monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure in line with company guidelines or SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Provides guidance to team members in project, management; ensures appropriate planning and interaction between various customer and Information Technology departments and hardware/software vendors. Provides expectations for development of well-defined project plans, work schedules and critical path timelines. Compiles professional, well thought out designs to very complex technical processes and presents to Senior Level Management. Engage with senior leadership regularly with reports on project status, activities, and achievements. Conduct high-level root cause analysis for service interruption and establish preventive measures; may require collaboration with software vendor; mentors team members in process to include documentation. Designs and administers complex standards and policies regarding application and end user customer documentation. Ensures that department and company standards are implemented and consistently adhered to. Responsible to create technical documents to include- process maps, Business Requirement Documents, system diagrams, application maps, test plans, etc. Provides guidance and oversight to the development of fully integrated testing scenarios. Monitors change management documentation and ensures that approvals are managed according to departmental procedures and ITIL standards. 3. Innovation and Futures: Leads a team of information technology professionals, end user customers and vendors to assemble request for information/proposal (RFI/RFP), return on investment (ROI) calculations, capital or operating budgets data or other high-level strategic specifications and documents. Identifies and acts upon opportunities for continuous improvement. Encourages exploration of alternative approaches. Demonstrates personal commitment to change through actions and words. Mobilizes others to support change through times of stress and uncertainty. 4. Advisor and Partner: Provides leadership for company staff, information technology staff and various committees guiding the design, implementation and maintenance of complex application and system specifications and processes. Participates and may lead taskforces to plan, implement, and coordinate facility activities to maximize information technology service quality, effectiveness and efficiency. Maintains current professional and technical knowledge related to the healthcare industry by attending educational workshops/conferences, establishing personal networks, and/or maintaining relevant certification or licensure as business needs require. 5. Communication: Presents difficult or complex ideas clearly and effectively, translating complex technical concepts into laymen terms. Relates complex issues and articulates in a straightforward manner. Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and business audiences. This position has responsibility for selected infrastructure applications or systems. The incumbent participates in meetings, presentations, visioning sessions, planning sessions, implementation activities, and supports functions system wide. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a strong knowledge of technology as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Certain assignments require certification or credentialing in designated area. Must also have seven plus years’ experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience. Must demonstrate general knowledge of information technology and healthcare. Needs experience in medium scale project planning and reporting either individual or team. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. Incumbent will have skills to mentor less experienced team members. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.
