**ONLY W2 CANDIDATES ( NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE)** **HYBRID - 3 DAYS ONSITE - TOPEKA, KANSAS** **Job Title: IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST** **L** **ocation: TOPEKA, KS** **Work Schedule: HYBRID ( 3 DAYS ONSITE)** **Pay Range: 20$/hr ( 40 hours per week)** **What’s the Job?** + Position performs installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) PC hardware, PC software and peripheral computing devices. + Incumbent creates and maintains baseline image configurations for the KDOR PC laptop hardware portfolio and uses images to configure, install and repair KDOR PCs. As new PC and laptop equipment is procured by KDOR, incumbent develops system software and application software configurations to support new equipment. + Position also performs technical support and customer support via assignments made to team through a queue of trouble and support tickets created by EBIT help desk. + Resolving these tickets may require the incumbent to perform complex troubleshooting of hardware, software and connectivity configuration problems and issues. + Work is completed independently to bring these everyday problems to successful resolution using their background, training and other team members as resources. + Incumbent may be expected to close tickets daily in support queue in addition to other work assignments. + Incumbent also prepares discarded equipment for secure disposal and reports all equipment deployments, moves and disposal to staff responsible for managing and updating the KDOR equipment inventory. **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent. **Licensing & Certification:** Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license to perform the essential functions of this position. **Preferred Experience:** Bachelor degree is preferred. Technical School and experience is acceptable in lieu of degree. Prefer experience in maintaining/trouble shooting desktop and laptop computers and basic understanding of the Windows Operating System and TCP/IP networking is required. **Minimum Qualifications:** Six months configuring and installing/replacing software, hardware, and connecting peripherals.
