The maximum salary for the IT Statewide Senior Operator 2 is $ 73,486 . EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every fifteen semester hours earned in information technology from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience towards the required experience. Every six months of vocational or technical school training in information technology will substitute for six months of the required experience. Job Concepts FUNCTION OF WORK: To serve as an operational lead for enterprise printing technology. LEVEL OF WORK: Experienced. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direct from a higher-level IT Statewide professional with assigned supervisory responsibilities. May also receive supervision on a project basis from other IT Statewide professionals. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May provide guidance to lower-level IT Statewide personnel. LOCATION OF WORK: Division of Administration, Office of Technology Services. JOB DISTINCTIONS: Differs from IT Statewide Operator 4 by the presence of responsibility for serving as an operational lead for enterprise printing technology. Differs from IT Statewide Senior Operator 2 by the absence of responsibility for the scheduling and production of enterprise printing activities. Examples of Work The Office of Technology Services aims to be a responsible partner in delivering innovative, effective, and reliable solutions that support and enhance the IT functions within Executive Branch Departments. The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State’s investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff. 40% Sets up for use and operates large finishing and binding equipment that converts printed material into finished product. Resolves issues as needed for all types of enterprise print and finishing equipment, including complex full color printing presses, to ensure continuity of operations. 30% Provides training to lower-level operators on all types of enterprise print and finishing equipment, including complex color printers. Organizes and sets print production and finishing schedules based on client expectations and deadlines. Provides quality assurance by reviewing finished print products; recommends adjustments to meet client expectations. 15% Coordinates with higher-level personnel to resolve escalated operational troubleshooting issues. Provides guidance to lower-level operators as necessary to ensure continuity of operations and accuracy of production schedule. 10% Uses networked handheld and automated information technology equipment to scan all forms and types of print or mail jobs into a standardized electronic tracking system.
