Examples of Work This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Baton Rouge area. The Office of Technology Services aims to be a responsible partner in delivering innovative, effective, and reliable solutions that support and enhance the IT functions within Executive Branch Departments. The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State’s investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff. The position is responsible for working as a Business Analyst on a Scrum Team working closely with Scrum Team members to ensure the consistent delivery of IT services for the Louisiana Department of Education. Develops user stories and business requirement documents associated with enhancements to highly complex applications including writing test cases, testing new releases and developing automated testing. Provides management and oversight for all deployments, enhancements, expansions or design modifications of information technology services. Works closely with stakeholders to align service delivery with expectations while maintaining good communication and collaboration with stakeholders, OTS and third party vendors. Training of stakeholders on how to perform the role of a business analyst by providing documentation, mentoring and knowledge transfer. Prepares impact statements relative to proposed legislation and specific requests for service. Perform all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed.
