Summary You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT) in the Information Technology Command and Control Division of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. Responsibilities You will provide specialized data management work involving the design, creation, maintenance and administration of computerized databases. You will analyze and define data requirements and specifications. You will maintain, monitor, performance tune, back up and recover databases. You will analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. You will perform quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and project management principles, methods and practices to develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, and monitor activities associated with enterprise information technology systems, operational technology, networks and platform IT; 2) Maintain, monitor, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases; 3) Using Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Procedure Language Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) to generate queries, reports, and scripts; 4) Implementing Standard Technical Implementation Guides and maintaining database security; 5) Applying data administration and data standardization policies to integrate IT programs with other programs of equivalent scope and complexity. 6) Advising on the interrelationships of multiple IT specialties (e.g., databases, systems, networks, cybersecurity) when considering emerging technologies and their application to the Command's business systems, cybersecurity standards and control systems; Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. IT-related experience demonstrating attention to detail includes: Performing database and application performance monitoring. IT-related experience demonstrating customer service includes: Creating and maintaining user roles and assigning privileges in database applications. IT-related experience demonstrating oral communication includes: Expressing information technology information recommendations to employees and managers. IT-related experience demonstrating problem solving includes: Assessing and correcting database application configurations.
