The NISC IV HQ Training Group (HQTG) within the Leidos has an opening for an IT Specialist to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK and support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The IT Specialist will provide system support services to the Student Controller Objective Recorder for Evaluations (SCORE). The SCORE system assists with the Technical Support Services (TSS) evaluations as it relates to audio and video recording of air traffic control (ATC) trainees’ final initial qualification (IQ) evaluations. The ideal candidate will be skilled with audio and video equipment set up and maintenance.

Clearance:

While a clearance is not required to be considered for the position, the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability through the FAA is required if hired. The process can take 5-8 weeks before a start date.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide support for maintaining the SCORE system, including daily verification of equipment, inventory management, support services, and data safeguarding.

Perform all tasks as specified to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the SCORE system.

Address and correct any hardware, LAN/WAN and applications or COTS software, or connection issues to minimize work interruption.

Ensure backup, recovery, and data restoration from workstations during upgrades or when a problem with the system is diagnosed.

Will initiate backups locally each day each day after 1600 Monday to Friday.

Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and assistance.

Assist with setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems.

Provide customer service and adhere to all service management principles.

Configure the systems and updating them with latest software upgrades and security measures.

Regularly monitor software, hardware, security and connectivity issues.

Perform daily Health Checks of each asset prior to 0700 Monday to Friday.

Perform regular performance and efficiency checks of computers.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree .

Experience in system integrations testing through a full system development life cycle, including implementing test plans, test cases and test processes.

Demonstrated capability to proactively engage and serve end users for in maintaining IT or other software tools for their use.

Experience developing, delivering, and maintain training on IT related tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve configuration-related issues effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance (i.e., Public Trust) is required if hired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Higher-level certifications from major Cloud Service Providers.

Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
