Job Overview

The IT Solutions Architect I will be a technology solutions leader that designs solutions within the strategic vision set by Enterprise Architects to address specific challenges, ensuring that they meet technical requirements and follow industry best practices. The IT Solutions Architect I will partner with the business vertical delivery teams and IT Directors to understand business needs and provide solution options. The IT Solutions Architect I will also promote and enforce standards, governance, and guide delivery teams to leverage standard tools and technologies to respond to business requests. The IT Solutions Architect I will provide input to Enterprise Architects on updates or adjustments to EA guidelines, standards, and policies. The IT Solutions Architect I will also need to be able to develop and document business knowledge and make technical decisions that enable the business to operate more efficiently and meet business objectives. The IT Solutions Architect I is accountable for solution selection, design, and deliver team enablement at the function level.

Duties & Responsibilities Partners with internal stakeholders and liaises with technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions by producing and circulating roadmaps to align information technology priorities with business partner requirements and strategies; working with developers to ensure technical solutions align with the overall Information Technology architecture frameworks and design guidelines; building and maintaining technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision-makers within Technology Leads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects by providing consultation on complex projects and handling data integration and configuration Oversees end-to-end from conception, through delivery, into production of solution architectures while aligning IT strategy and planning with the company’s business goals and objectives Mentors IT Solutions and Development Engineers by providing timely coaching and feedback, facilitating technology design workshops for emerging technologies, and occasionally leading their work Works closely with Enterprise Architects to validate solutions from both internal development teams and third-party vendors Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities DOMAIN Specific Experience is Mandatory Multiple Sub Domain Experience is Mandatory 5+ Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed Organizational Structure 5+ Years of SDLC and CI, CD experience Tools, Frameworks, and best practices 5+ Years MS Azure Environment Development experience 3+ Years MS Azure DevOps operational (pipeline) experience 3+ Years experience in Domain-specific framework development 5+ Years experience in Multiple Sub Domains as defined 5+ Years of Data integrations and exchange frameworks (jSON, XML, EDI) Strong Analytical and self problem-solving abilities Strong understanding of data Must be comfortable with a Cross-Functional Matrixed Organizational Framework. Where the individual may be reporting to multiple requesting sources Must have experience with leading multiple Teams from a Technical delivery perspective This is not a Managerial hierarchy leadership role, but more of a mentoring at a skills level role An understanding of, and ability to use, design patterns to steer business requirements into enterprise-wide technical strategies Knowledge of security design techniques Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Awareness and ability to document designs using internal and external notational standards (Business Process Model and Notation {BPMN}, Unified Modeling Language {UML})  Experience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery, documentation techniques, and methodologies Primary DOMAIN skill must be defined here Sub Domains must be defined here Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school Knowledge acquired through 5 to up to 7 years of work related experience Proof of experience is mandatory – Either via Certification, Testing, or a Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school Bachelor’s degree (4 years) A college degree is not required but would be considered as being an alternative to certification within the specific Primary DOMAIN Proof of experience is mandatory – Either via Certification, Testing, or a Bachelor's degree Work Environment
