Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership. If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
Advanced skills in developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Experience evaluating the quality of and adherence to standards, processes, and procedures throughout the systems life cycle development by being involved in test approach planning, developing test cases, and testing activities. Leads test approach planning or may participate in the creation of automated testing standards and procedures and/or evaluates the quality of and adherence to standards, processes, and procedures throughout the SDLC by performing reviews, spot checks, and audits. Effectively defines, reports, and tracks all findings, and ensures quality assurance metrics are correct and provided to stakeholders.
Education & Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field Four or more years of work related experience in test automation and software testing or related work experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Develops, reviews, and maintains test cases from use cases and epics, technical specifications, and other sources that can be understood and easily followed Participates in test case reviews with teammates, subject matter experts, and technical resources Builds and reviews test data to support test efforts Creates and maintains test cases used for functional testing, system integration testing, smoke testing, regression testing, or other testing scenarios Manages and tracks application, technical, and operational defects for assignments, projects / programs, networks, app systems, and products. When applicable, analyze and triage issues to determine root cause Investigates software problems from testing and work with QA analysts and software developers to create solutions Executes test scripts/cases, communicate the results, prepare and maintain appropriate documentation Manages test environments, testing stations, and test lab configurations to ensure the correct application versions, operating systems, and other third-party software are maintained according to testing requirements Creates, executes, and maintains automated test cases in accordance with the expectations of the application team Performs all activities that are required for meeting minimum compliance requirements as per the DSDF Proactively review the accuracy of existing test cases, test suites, and regression packs for redundant or out-dated tests Helps guide junior team members through project tasks and professional development Performs other related duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $145,000.
