IT Project Manager
Title: IT Project Manager KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology Project Manager to join our team supporting NAVAIR and the Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM) team in an effort to lead the migration effort from an Information Level-5 (IL-5) environment to an Information Level-6 (IL-6) environment. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines. This role requires a deep understanding of IL-5 and IL-6 environments, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: + Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. Coordinate internal and external resources for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope. + Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders promptly and clearly. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate project control techniques. + Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks and issues. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders. + Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and oversight for the migration process. Ensure compliance with IL-6 standards and best practices. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations. + Team Leadership: Manage, lead, coach, and motivate project team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. + Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular project reviews and audits. Implement and maintain project documentation and records. Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on system migrations or upgrades. (Additional experience can be applied in lieu of a degree) + Demonstrated understanding of IL-5 and IL-6 environments. + Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA). + Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security protocols. + Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with large-scale IT migrations. + Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to IL-6 environments. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week. Compensation: $125,180 - $187,770. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
