Job purpose
BorgWarner is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an IT Manager for our location in Arden, NC.
The IT Manager is a liaison between IT and the business, oriented toward emerging needs. Driving digital transformation by digital technologies to create new or modify existing business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet changing business and market requirements. Has significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both IT and the business. This person needs to have the ability to gather business requirements and convert them into projects or change requests focusing on the value-add creation. Experience in manufacturing (prefer Automotive) process is needed.
He / She is also responsible for overall delivery of IT services to Arden location. The IT Manager manages customer expectations/needs and utilizes IT metrics/scorecards/reporting to communicate between the business and Global IT Organization. The IT Manager must be able to effectively work with other IT Service Teams as well as the different functional areas in your location. Works closely with site application owners and Service teams to ensure quality IT services for sites of responsibility.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that all IT services are seamlessly delivered to clients of the organizationUnderstand the business demands and leverage global IT Organizations (Applications & Infrastructure) to address these requirementsCommunicate to the business on deliverables by being a member of the site management staffPerform Pre-project business solution design, project estimates for cost-benefit analysis (ROI Analysis)Direct projects towards desired technology strategies and standardsCommunicate and negotiate with business leaders and business process owners on deliverablesPlan, coordinate, and manage the IT activities of the siteManage the IT budget and request services for IT projects and maintenance for the site to ensure IT costing effectivelyMeet Plant and Business Unit IT targets, including developing an LRP, creating and maintaining forecast, and plan for Cyber Risk and Resiliency remediation. Identify opportunities for business operational efficiency and drive to specific metrics for business cost saving and value realizationOversee the communication and feedback between the business and IT teamsReport back to business and IT on the status of projects and IT performance (score card)Support the regional Service Delivery functions which include the Service Desk and IT Governance (ITIL, PMO, Financials)Has special focus on managing our Client Technicians to deliver to the expected service-demand of our sitesAccountable to maintain and support enterprise IT Service Catalog, Service Level Agreements and StrategySupport Site Scorecards reviews for sites of responsibilityMonitor and improve KPI and customer satisfaction and feedback on IT services while aligning with the regional leads to ensure consistencyBuilds IT service relationship with customers and site managementEnsure quality services are performed to the agreed SLAEnsure that systems, processes, and methodologies specified are followed and ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service deliveryProvide reports on an agreed schedule (or on request), including management and financial performance reportsAttend client service review meetings; areas covered will include performance reports, service improvements, quality, and processesEstablishes and implements short and long-term services to customers within reasonable schedules and budgetsConnects the business to technologyCommunicates and manages the regional, Chargeback, and Allocation model.Executes vendor-management - managing suppliers in/and outsourcing contractsDrives ITIL framework throughout IT organization including:Incident/problem managementChange managementService Level managementFinancial management
What we’re looking for
Education /Experience Qualifications:
BA/BS Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field10 years working in Information Technology including 5 years of management experienceExperience with ITIL framework – certification is a plusExcellent Program/Project management skills – Scrum, Agile, etc., certification is a plusDemonstrable experience of working in a Business Relationship management capacityBusiness analytical skills confirmed by working experience, preferred in SAP ERPExperience working with Automotive Sector/OrganizationsExperience in the digital manufacturing is a plus (IoT, I4.0, RPA)Knowledge:
