RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build a high performing team through staff development, recruiting, and retention to support growing business needsDelegate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide guidance to achieve organizational goalsAddress complex IT challenges and provide effective solutionsEnsure the smooth functioning of IT systems, including all areas of IT and Cloud InfrastructureWork with other departments to align IT operations with overall business objectivesEnsure all IT operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirementsManages related Service Desk Tool queues and ticketsResolve or escalate incidents and service requests, maintaining relevant records promptly and efficiently within SLADeployment and configuration of VMware Virtual Machines in vCentre and AzureInstallation and management of IT security toolsBuild new systems and deploy application softwareInstall new software releases and system upgradesReview of SOPs and documentationRemote Desktop Gateway management, configuration, and troubleshootingConfiguration of monitoring toolsOptimizing solutions to improve performance, function, or costsEnsure security is the cornerstone of the designs, services, and implementationsBuilding Dashboards and Reporting on monthly metricsDocumentationWork with other functional teams to jointly deliver projects as well as being able to work as individual to complete smaller tasksActive Directory management and troubleshootingVPN Configuration and troubleshootingGeneral vCentre management and troubleshootingPartner with Engineering, Development and Professional Services teams to ensure successful implementation of new technologies and assures SOP’s are accurately recorded and updatedREQUIREMENTS:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experienceStrong leadership and communication skillsMinimum 3 years Team Management skills and experience - Must have managed a team with more than 5 team membersExperience with MS Office 365 and other business SaaS offerings a plusKubernetes, Linux, MS SQL, and Docker experience a plusUnderstanding of the SDLC, Software and Database Deployment Methods, and Application Security Scanning Tools a plusProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesKnowledge of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, storage and backup devices, VMWare, Citrix and other solutions as necessary to fulfil job responsibilities.Proficiency in server, storage and virtualization standards, techniques and tools.Analytical/problem-solving skills.Clear and concise verbal and written communication to all levels of the organization.Effectively organize and prioritize work.Simultaneously manage and deliver multiple projects or tasks.Effectively collaborates with peers, cross-functional teams, team leaders and engineering to achieve end-to-end product and process quality.Effectively influences others to ensure levels of quality and timeliness are met during the service improvement and delivery processAbility to be available for possible after hours, standby work or shift work if required
Experience with SaaS models and large-scale distributed web architectures utilizing SaaS technologies is a plus
