IT Inventory Specialist

Location: This position is on-site, located in Laurel, MD 20707. Role: Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an IT Inventory Specialist to provide support to the IT Inventory team with receiving, ensuring that the assets received are put in the proper locations and scanned into the Asset Management Tool. Responsibilities: Maintains the organization's inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while keeping accurate records of all procurements. Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made. Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. Serves as Team Lead and distributes tasks and workload among employees to ensure accomplishment of all tasks and final team product. Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs. Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to upper management. Manages and maintains inventory system. Facilitates upgrades to a related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager. Conducts daily on-site inventory and asset management, preventative maintenance and recycling. Ensures client users access to equipment in good working order Works cooperatively with on-site teammates, as assignment requires. Receives shipments, Scans all assets into the Asset management Tool and stores in designated locations. Move/Retrieve assets marked for disposal. Removes storage devices from assets marked for disposal, labels as appropriate and degaussed as needed. Delivers received devices to end users/groups. Participates in Imaging End points and PC Replacement activities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline. Three (3) years of experience in a business IT environment with emphasis on PC hardware and applications. Two (2) years of experience working in a Help Desk environment. Specialized knowledge of PC operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OSX. Strong knowledge of asset tracking and inventory control software. Required Certification: CompTIA A+ Preferred/Nice to Have Skills: Proven experience in quality check analysis of contracts and purchase information. Experience working with ServiceNow Expertise in applying license rules to inventory data and assessing licensing gaps and surpluses. Experience in collecting, cleansing, inventory data. Ability to provide industry recommendations and best practices for asset management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Clearance: The ability to pass a background check is required.
