IT Information Director Deputy
Overview ***This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** Under the strategic guidance of the Information Technology Director, the Information Technology Director Deputy plays a critical role in leading a dynamic team of IT professionals to manage, support, and optimize the hardware, software, and local infrastructure operations within the LCV program. This position demands an adept technology leader capable of balancing operational responsibilities with strategic initiatives, ensuring effective execution of IT services both locally and remotely, in alignment with the overarching goals set by the enterprise technology group. The IT Director Deputy is instrumental in implementing the strategic IT roadmap, driving operational excellence, and fostering innovation within their domain. By maintaining close collaboration with the IT Director, this role ensures that the IT operations not only meet but exceed performance, security, and compliance standards, contributing to the program's success. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Directing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of IT systems to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency across all Automation Support, Service Support, and Audio-Visual technological platforms. Leading and mentoring a team of IT professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous professional growth. Collaborating with Senior IT Leadership to translate strategic plans into actionable operational goals, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with enterprise-wide IT initiatives. Proactively managing IT resources, including electronic resources, to ensure alignment with V2X enterprise standards and operational synergy across departments. Serving as a technical expert and escalation point for complex IT issues, providing advanced problem-solving support to both computer users and IT personnel. Ensuring strict adherence to corporate governance, security protocols, and compliance requirements, while also maintaining comprehensive configuration and procedural documentation. Engaging with stakeholders across the organization to identify IT needs and opportunities, ensuring IT initiatives are closely aligned with business objectives. Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve IT service delivery, enhance data security, and minimize risks. Ensures adherence to enterprise standards and procedures. Facilitating change management processes to smoothly implement IT solutions that affect multiple stakeholders and operational processes. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Must be a U.S. Citizen Qualifications and Certifications: Project Management Professional (preferred), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Experience: 8+ years’ experience in IT management, with significant experience in leadership roles overseeing a variety of IT departments or large-scale projects. Strong understanding of IT governance, operations, security practices, and technology trends. Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives. Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to support IT operations and projects. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic and changing environment. Understanding of data privacy laws, cybersecurity policies, and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to the industry. Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee the lifecycle of IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring efficient utilization and compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficient in using property management software and tools for tracking and reporting on IT assets, ensuring accountability and transparency. Proven experience in implementing quality assurance policies and procedures in IT operations to ensure service delivery meets the highest standards. Track record of employing continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean IT, to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to IT operations, including ergonomic considerations and electrical safety, to promote a safe working environment. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to provide exceptional customer service and leadership under stressful conditions Strong decision-making skills Ability to develop and nurture team members Knowledge of Windows 10, O365, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office 2013/2016 Suite, web browsers, PC hardware, PC Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.), Active Directory, ticketing systems, and mobile device (iOS and Android) support. Experience with installation, maintenance and operation of point to point wireless technologies and Meraki network devices. Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities: Supervises a team of IT professionals throughout the Task Order. Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
