Cisco’s IT Finance team provides world-class services as Finance Leaders to develop the financial planning, processes and capabilities to craft a culture of fiscal discipline while supporting the IT organization’s charter.

What You'll Do

You will partner with IT Functional Vice Presidents to formulate investment strategies and optimize spending tied to priorities of the organization. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

BudgetingPerform cost analysis and what-if modeling to for investment business casesWork closely with functional leaders to distribute quarterly budgetsDevelop and maintain annual budgeting modelsTrack and monitor actual spending against assigned budgetsForecasting & ReportingMaintain comprehensive bottoms-up forecast modelFacility bi-weekly budget reviews with functional leaders and Business OperationsRecommend risk/opportunity adjustments with an objective point of viewDevelop and maintain analyses, trends and metrics to influence/drive spend efficiencyTransactions & ComplianceFacilitate transactional execution including stakeholder agreement, compliance check and system processingAdvise the business on transactional accounting treatments and impact on the forecastBe an ambassador of Cisco’s financial policies – educate the business, enforce the policies, coordinate audits and remedial actionsAccounting CloseManage the month-end close process; assess risks/opportunities in the forecastManage all aspects of purchase order management and general ledger reconciliationWork closely with Accounting on capitalized costs, amortization and payroll entriesReconcile general ledgers against forecasted spend; identify and resolve gapsProcess ImprovementMaintain alignment of departmental and P&L hierarchiesDrive continuous process improvement; identify gaps, initiate and execute changesWho You'll Work With

Who You Are

You are a highly motivated Finance professional with a solution-mindset, who applies technical and relationship skills to solve problems. You can quickly adapt in a transformative environment and are able to meet short term deliverables while building for the long haul.

Our minimum requirements:BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA and/or certification a plus6+ years of proven experience in Corporate Finance, Budget management, FP&A and/or Accounting Demonstrated success partnering with business executives Ability to support business decisions using facts, data and analysisMust be savvy with data modeling using Microsoft ExcelSuccinct communication and presentation skillsAdvanced proficiency in English, both written and verbalPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with finance tools (Business Object, Hyperion/Essbase, FinABC)
