Job Description

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT Field Technician. The duties of an IT Field Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

IT Field Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.

Duties to include:

Installing, configuring and maintaining standard computer hardware and softwareAssist customers with troubleshooting of computer related issues such as virus removal/password resets/email setup/software installations/setting up accounts for new usersAssist customers with first level troubleshooting of network equipmentMaintain accurate records of completed and pending jobs using the Eurofins ticketing system (OTRS)Follow Eurofins policies and procedures to including incident/problem escalationProvide friendly and helpful customer service as first point of contactResponding in a timely manner to service issues and requestsRepairing and replacing equipment as necessary

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience3+ years’ experience in computer networks maintenance (Cisco and HP)5+ years’ experience on current computer and server operating systemsHands of knowledge of Windows 7/10, Windows server 2016, Active Directory, Microsoft Office suiteAbility to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situationsUnderstanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audienceGood command in English

Job conditions:

•Type of contract: permanent
•Traveling: depending on on-going projects but maybe up to 20%, mainly France.
•Availability: as soon as possible
•Remuneration: to be defined according to the profile
