Assists in determining what data management systems are appropriate and which data are needed for analysis. Builds and maintains data management systems that combine core data sources into data warehouses or other accessible structures to support reporting and analytical systems. Delivers expertise in a range of areas, including data analysis, data solution design, testing, and implementation of data solutions and data flow designs to create the design for a new system. Exercises no supervision. Work Location 315 South Frio, San Antonio, Texas 78207 Work Hours 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday Essential Job Functions + Assists in building and maintaining data management systems that combine core data sources into data warehouses or other accessible structures. + Performs data conversions, imports, and exports within and between internal and external software systems. + Develops programs to extract, transform, and load data between data sources and assists in creating custom software components and analytics applications. + Creates data transformation processes to support business systems and operational data flows. Implements processes to ensure data integrity and standardization. + Applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures to complete data engineering assignments. + Assists in maintaining the quality of Metadata Repository by adding, modifying, and deleting data. + Participates in short and long-term planning efforts with management. + Assists with developing and evaluating technical requirements for data systems. + Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required. Job Requirements + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university + Two (2) years of work experience in Data Engineering, Data Base Administration, and/or Data Base Management System design and support. Preferred Qualifications + Two (2) years of experience working in an agile environment. + Experience using SQL, Python, R. + Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT. + Experience using cloud applications. + Six Sigma certified.
