IT Cyber Security Specialist

Job Requisition: REQ3345 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Hiring range: $85,072.00-$117,187.20 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure cyber security initiatives adhere to healthcare industry regulations and standards, including HIPAA, DOH, NIST, FDA guidelines, and other relevant compliance requirements.
+ Identify security risks and vulnerabilities while developing mitigation and remediation strategies to protect and prevent potential breaches.
+ Maintain detailed security documentation and provide regular reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
+ Will manage existing and new security tools and solutions. This includes reviews of upcoming data security solutions, also designing and implementing security solutions that best fit the organization.
+ Maintaining various Data Loss Prevention (DLP) reports. Handling of incoming tickets related to cyber security.
+ Diagnosis and troubleshoot daily security alerts with both immediate and long-term results to better optimize issues needing solutions as they arise.
+ Responsible for protecting the organization's computer systems and networks by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, monitoring for threats, and responding to security incidents, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data across the IT infrastructure.
+ Monitoring network activity for suspicious behavior and potential breaches.
+ Manage intrusion detection/prevention system exercises. (IDS/IPS).
+ Developing and maintaining incident response plans.
+ Investigating security incidents and breaches.
+ Coordinating with relevant associates/leaders to contain and mitigate damage.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Performing regular security audits and assessments.
+ Educating healthcare staff on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Education, Training & Experience:
+ High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
+ Minimum of three (3) years experience in IT or Cyber Security in a healthcare setting required
Certifications / Licensure:
+ CISSP, and SSCP preferred.
