We are seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst with experience in the insurance or financial domain to join our team in Des Moines, IA. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and ensuring the successful implementation of IT solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in business workflows and recommend technology-driven improvements.Solution Design & Documentation: Collaborate with development teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and process flows.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.Testing & Validation: Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validate solutions, and ensure they meet business requirements.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure IT solutions align with industry regulations and compliance standards in the insurance/financial sector.Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract and analyze data to support decision-making and generate reports for business insights.Change Management & Training: Support end-users with system adoption, including training and change management activities.Qualifications & Skills:Experience: 3+ years as an IT Business Analyst, with experience in insurance or financial services.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with databases, APIs, and system integrationsMethodologies: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.Tools: Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Visio, SQL, or other business analysis tools.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex business problems and propose effective IT solutions.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of insurance policy, claims, underwriting, or financial risk management processes.Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.Experience with cloud-based financial/insurance applications.
