SMX is seeking an ISR Systems Integration Technician, for an overseas location, to be a member of the C5I team responsible for providing regional intelligence and services derived from multiple payloads for network integration supporting emerging United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) requirements. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Forward ISR Systems Integration Technician, assist in engineering, provide support for deploying, sustaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ISR related voice, data, and video network infrastructure systems, IP / Cloud based technologies and cryptographic equipment at the direction of the on-site engineer and or ISR Systems leadership.
This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with the onsite integrator to create and maintain library of documentation for all equipment, processes, and procedures including detailed build procedure documents and equipment accountability. Check equipment for serviceability and perform preventive maintenance. Aid in the development and sustainment of system and site reports for equipment and personnel as needed Coordinate with internal and external agencies, and other service providers to analyze and isolate performance faults and implement corrective actions. Isolate malfunctions using diagnostic software, technical data, block diagrams, and other tests requiring specialized test equipment. Remove, repair, and replace assemblies and subassemblies to optimally sustain voice, data, and video networks on unclassified and classified networks, terrestrial and cloud technologies Communicate and coordinate scheduled maintenance, backups, and downtime to users. Aid in the development and execution of regular disaster recovery exercises. Perform end user troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve common problems with hosted solutions. Handle and safeguard Communications Security (COMESEC) equipment and material. Fabricate, terminate, and interconnect wiring and associated network infrastructure devices. Troubleshoot network issues involving VLANs and simple routing configurations. Maintain a NLT 1 hour response time with the team Maintain a flexible work schedule for onsite support and locations, this is not an ON-CALL position and will require day, night, weekend duties (rotational) Always maintain a professional appearance, dress pants, slacks or appropriate attire to include collared shirt is required during entire shift unless coordinated for labor workRequired Skills & Experience
Clearance Required: TS with SCI eligibility Ability to execute Linux and Windows administration Must posses and maintain accredited certifications in compliance with DOD 8570 certification program and or the DOD 8140 certification program. Must be able to travel with minimal notice to other locations OCONUS within the INDOPACOM AOR as well as to Hawaii and CONUS locations (maintain passport and visa with host country) Five years ISR comms and systems experience and demonstrable knowledge with regards to the following: Aircraft networks to include but not limited to Line of sight and beyond line of sight (LOS & BLOS) data transport, processes, antennas, and equipment (i.e. Vortex, encoders/transcoders, network routers and switches / hardware and virtual). BLOS data transport to include but not limited to managed private and government services, Airborne Broadband architecture, Satellite communications for data, terrestrial communications, and ISP. Ground and Local network comms and associated equipment to include but not limited to ISPs, Stingray, Kraken, Makito, ROVER (TAC Rover-P, TNR-E, Stinger-MB), GBS kits (PRS-11/12). Must have a basic understanding of electrical principles and radio frequencies.Desired Skills & Experience
Knowledge on Airborne ISR systems to include but not limited to aircraft sensors and payloads. Stig compliance and vulnerability mitigation skills COMSEC and Cryptographic management / programming skills Strong understanding of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
