Description We are seeking an IS Technical Specialist: III (Senior) to join our team. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. In this role, you will be required to provide technical and consultative support on complex technical matters, analyze, design and develop systems based on user specifications. You'll also be expected to provide assistance in resolving hardware and software issues and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the technical tools available for systems development and support. Responsibilities: • Provide consultative and technical support on complex technical matters to the team. • Analyze, design, and develop systems based on user specifications. • Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems. • Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the technical tools available for systems development and support. • Stay informed of technical industry trends and incorporate them into your work. • Assist in identifying training needs and provide training to less experienced staff when required. • Serve as a project leader for specific projects, ensuring their successful completion. • Utilize your skills in Training, Specification, Computer Hardware, Technical Assistance, and Software Problems to excel in your role. + Production Support with on-call rotation with occasional weekend support Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 8 years of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree Mainframe Experience a must COBOL experience a must Experience working with EDI file processing using Connexion application a must Experience with ACH files and ACH file processing Self starter with ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications: Service Now Changeman Microsoft Office experience Experience working in multi-platform environment Ability to balance both development and support roles Experience in working on projects that involve business segments Strong analytical strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal skills focus on customer service and the ability to work well with other IT vendor and business groups Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
