OverviewThe IS Mechanical Designer III will design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles.
Responsibilities Works closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects.Works closely with the team to ensure the successful execution of goals of all assigned projects.Conducts field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities.Produces, with limited supervision, design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling.Delivers concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines.Contributes to all areas of the creative process and department.Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.Provides training to designer level staff on basic design principles and standards.
