The Irrigation Technician isresponsible for the maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of the irrigation system. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of existing irrigation and the installation of new irrigation.
\n RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities
\n\nWater greens, tees, and fairways.\nOperates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.\nRepairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.\nCompletes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.\nGrades and prepares soil base; lays sod; seeds greens, tees, and fairways.\nOperates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.\nOccasionally supervise a small labor force for special projects.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n\nKnowledge and Skills
\n\nKnowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work.\nAbility to operate light motorized equipment.\nKnowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.) \nKnowledge of State or local governmental safety requirement \nSelf-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team play \nAbility to follow oral and written directions.\n\n\nEducation and Experience
\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n0-3 years of directly related Irrigation experience or closely related experience.\n\n\nCertification and Licenses
\n\nValid driver’s license.\n\n\nWorking Conditions
\n\nTypical outside work environment (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operation powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools).
\n\n\nWage Range: $18 - $24 per hour depending on experience.
\nThis position is in Aguanga at Rancho California RV Resort - just a short drive from Temecula.
