Franklin Templeton Institutional LLC seeks an Investment Risk Manager in New York, NY.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Investment Risk Manager?

​The Investment Risk Manager will provide a second line of defense for Investment Risk.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Requires a Master’s degree in Finance or related field or equivalent.

Must include one (1) year of experience with the following responsibilities, skills and/or tools:

Developing quantitative models and analyses to forecast variables including risk, asset under management (AUM), financial performance, and macroeconomic factors at an investment management/financial services firm;

Utilizing Python, R, SAS, and SQL for statistical programming and data analysis;

Performing statistical analysis and machine learning using linear and logistic regression, random forest, and time series models to identify factors driving investment performance and portfolio risks;

Utilizing Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) and derivatives pricing models for instruments, including options, futures, and total return swaps;

Performing model assumption tests, back-testing, stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to validate model robustness; and

Utilizing Tableau to create data models and dashboards for data visualization.

We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $153,320.00 – $210,700.00 USD / year, depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
