Job Title: Investment Operator Level 1

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Investment Operator Level 1 to join our team. This position is responsible for operating manual or robotic equipment to dip and stucco wax pattern assemblies for shell mold production. The role requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Mission:
Under general supervision, the Shell Mold Operator will inspect mods, clean slurry tanks, dip molds, and maintain slurry tanks while adhering to established quality standards. The operator will ensure accurate documentation and verify conformance of parts to specifications.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Production Operations:

Perform manual or robotic dip and stucco operations to produce shell molds.Inspect wax patterns and shell molds for defects such as cracks, bridging, and foreign materials.Mix and maintain slurry tanks, ensuring proper viscosity and accurate data recording.Follow technique cards to meet production and quality standards, including verifying parameters for coats, drying times, and special handling instructions.Demonstrate good eye-hand coordination for precise dipping and stucco application.

Quality Assurance:

Inspect molds for strength and ensure compliance with specifications.Record work performed in the system and maintain accurate documentation.Understand the ceramic shell process and identify causes of investment-related casting defects.

Safety and Maintenance:

Adhere to plant and department safety protocols.Operate tools and equipment safely, including lifting devices, mixers, and various hand tools.Maintain clean and optimal working conditions for all equipment, including Zahn cups, mixers, and dilution tools.

Additional Responsibilities:

Train less experienced personnel as assigned.Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean workspace.Perform related tasks to meet plant goals.

Equipment Used

Pumping and mixing machines (manual and powered)Lifting devices (lift tables, cranes, forklifts, etc.)Hand tools (pliers, wrenches, scrapers, knives, scissors, etc.)

Qualifications

Experience or training in a related field preferred.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to follow detailed written instructions for slurry tank mixtures and other materials.

Compensation & Benefits
