Investment Operations Analyst

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location.  Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location.  This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group’s 40|86 Advisors are hiring an Investment Operations Analyst to work with 40|86 traders and portfolio managers along with investment brokers, custodian banks and trustees to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of securities and monies to facilitate transaction settlement.

This is your opportunity to monitor collateral positions and work with counterparties to post or remove collateral positions as required. Initiate funding requests within the G treasury system as required for physical settle transactions. Work with the Bloomberg system and with SS&C’s CAMRA accounting system to record transaction activity and to monitor the data integrity of various fixed income investments. Ensure financial instruments are recorded and maintained at the custodian bank. Research and respond to questions related to security positions and/or security analytic data.

As an Investment Operations Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring trading systems for new or terminated trades and verifying the accuracy of trade entry. 

Confirming trades with Counterparties, Broker/Dealers, or other third parties. 

Completing accurate and timely processing and settlement of cash transactions related to the portfolio through the confirmation and release of payments. 

Initiating authorization and document supported funding wires within the G Treasury system.    

Monitoring collateral accounts to ensure compliance and post or recall collateral as required.

Scanning of physical financial instrument data and maintain it in accordance with procedures and retention schedule. 

Monitoring and enhancing operational controls to adhere to company policies, procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley controls. 

Supporting various company initiatives via staff management, idea generation, individual contribution or other means as required.

Participating in the maintenance of the Middle Office business continuity plans and disaster recovery processes.

The Investment Operations Analyst position is well suited for you if you:

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Ability to work onsite at Corporate Office in Carmel, IN up to five days a week.

What will set you apart:

Master’s degree in business or related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Two years of experience in investment operations.

This role is affiliated to the (Birmingham / Carmel / Chicago / Orlando / Milwaukee) corporate office, and candidates for this role need to reside within a 60-mile radius of that corporate office and will be required to come into that office.  CNO embraces flexibility, and encourages you to work with your manager to develop the workstyle that meets your personal needs as well as the needs of the business. Compensation

Pay Range: $63,700.00 - $95,500.00 Annual
