Description
We are offering an opportunity to become a part of our team as an Investment Analyst, located in Rochester, New York. This role involves specialized duties within our Investment Management department, providing support to Portfolio Managers and other Investment Committee members. The focus of this role spans across equity and fixed-income research/trading, investment account management, and due diligence activities.
Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in our Investment Committee sessions.
• Contribute to various roles within the Investment Management department, assisting in the operation and management.
• Conduct due diligence, investment research, account management, and trading on a daily basis.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our investment holdings, displaying an inquisitive mindset.
• Conduct research on existing and potential equity and fixed income securities, including but not limited to closed-end funds, mutual funds, and exchange traded funds.
• Provide support to the investment team by assisting in ad hoc projects and contributing to briefs that communicate the team's investment thoughts to internal and external constituents.
• Assist in conducting asset allocation and macroeconomic research.
• Manage investment accounts in line with our investment matrices and individual client's risk tolerance.
• Handle other notable projects or duties as assigned.
• Utilize skills in Bloomberg Terminal, Due Diligence, Equity Capital, Equity Investment, Account Management, Equity Trading to optimize job performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• CFA designation would be a huge plus!
• Proficient in conducting Due Diligence
• Knowledge of Equity Capital and Equity Investment
• Demonstrated skills in Account Management
• Experience in Equity Trading is a plus
• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal
• Open to candidates with varying years of experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of financial modeling and statistical analysis
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct
