Inventory Warehouse Technician

Primary Responsibilities

 

Monitor and maintain inventory levels. Receive and put away inventoried items. Set up new parts to be ordered from the warehouse. Establish inventory levels and ensure reorder points are adjusted and correct for demand and usage. Enter production orders into department project system. Analyze cycle counts and provide feedback on parts that are in excess or should be obsoleted. Create audit reports to support warehouse activity. Maintain key user status within the inventory management system. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for the department. Pick, pack and ship product to appropriate locations within the required time frame. Fill supply requisitions. Ensure proper shipping standards are utilized for UPS and international shipments. Assemble mailings for various departments including collating, binding, and shrink wrapping.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

Associate’s degree in Materials Management, Operations Management, Business or Marketing, along with at least 2 years related experience is required. Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED Occasional travel (0-5%) Occasional overnight stays (0-5%) Job requires employee to drive a lift truck Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Working knowledge of inventory control practices. Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to prioritize projects, work within short time frames and meet deadlines. General computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system.
