About the Brand/Division:

TFG LOGISTICS manages and oversees the Distribution Function of the group. Our 8 Distribution Centres (DCs) and management support staff total over 700 employees working to efficiently move stock to stores.

Key Responsibilities: 

Managing a team within the Distribution Centre  Monitor and measure the quality of all work performed by the team Managing all administrative tasks link to the inventory department. (All reports) Direct work of employees to ensure that accuracy, speed, cost and compliance targets within the Distribution Centre are achieved Maintain department lead-time Workforce planning. Attend departmental meetings Productivity reporting (KPIs and lead time) Validate all carton adjustments Improving processes within the department Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, BOP Must be a team player Conduct hearings and enquiries Assist with departmental HR issues  Investigate and report all shorts and overs within 48hrs

Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 (Matric), Post-matric qualification in logistics & warehouse management/supply chain management/ retail business management advantageous  Experience in Distribution Centre /warehousing Proven experience in managing a team – (minimum of 2 years) The ability to build and maintain relationships with persons at all levels across departments/trading divisions Must be prepared to work under pressure, extra hours & Shifts Knowledge on Stock and Cycle Counts  Warehouse and Distribution Centre experience  Strong proficiency in MS Excel (i.e. aggregation worksheet functions [SUM, AVERAGE, etc.] data sorting and filtering, formatting, processing). A high degree of accuracy and strong numeric ability.
