Inventory Supervisor

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing supplies. You will plan to purchase and procure to maximize efficiencies and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss.

The chief goals of this position are to monitor and report on our company’s inventory levels. You will be responsible for developing inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of supplies, ordering new materials, and performing a daily analysis. Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.

Additionally, you will be responsible for hiring, training and mentoring inventory staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and use technology appropriately.

What You’ll Do:

OPERATIONS/PLANNING

Determine and track most important KPIs Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Oversee the planning and scheduling of production, ensuring the needs of the forecast are meet Oversee daily operations and identify bottlenecks. Suggest continuous improvements Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies Train and manage a team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Communicate and collaborate with other team members Make suggestions for productivity improvements Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

INVENTORY

Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems. Analyze data to anticipate future needs Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc. Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures. Review timeliness of scheduled deliveries. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.

WAREHOUSE

Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

What You’ll Need

Supervision, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Judgment Proven experience as inventory/warehouse supervisor or similar position Associate degree in business or related field, preferred Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques. CPIM certification, preferred Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP) Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Leadership skills  Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skill
