Inventory Specialist

Description We are in search of an Inventory Specialist to join our team in New Haven, Connecticut. This role is integral to our operations, with a focus on managing inventory, conducting cycle counts, and tracking items. As an Inventory Specialist, you will report to the Director of Materials Management and will be involved in various aspects of our supply chain, from processing warehouse issues to performing basic analytical research. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage and track inventory supplies.
• Assist in the execution of cycle counts for perpetual inventory supplies.
• Utilize MMIS system for entering warehouse issues and resolving ordering problems.
• Communicate with various hospital departments and vendors to gather information for researching supply receipt confirmations.
• Collaborate with receiving staff to coordinate MMIS receipt processing, as identified and researched from the Invoiced Not Received (INR) report.
• Notify Material Management team of any Item Master set up problems or changes identified during analysis and research activities for INR or cycle counting.
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting tasks.
• Apply excellent organizational skills to all tasks and processes.
• Leverage skills in research analysis to resolve supply chain logistics issues.
• Handle materials and confirmations with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in all tasks and duties.
• Utilize knowledge of Infor supply chain systems when applicable. Requirements • Proficiency in Data Entry and Reporting
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience in Research and Research Analysis
• Knowledge of Materials Handling
• Ability to liaise with Vendors and handle Confirmations
• Experience in handling Receipts
• Understanding of Supply Chain Logistics
• Strong Organizational skills
• Experience in handling Disability Claims
• Proficient in Cycle Count
• Knowledge of Infor and MMIS systems
• Experience in QA Management
