Inventory Optimization Project Lead - Temporary contract

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Inventory Optimization Project Lead in the Merchandising Function, your primary responsibility will be to implement and roll out SmartStore in the region from a merchandising perspective. You will be part of the Regional Inventory and Optimization function, collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders, both internal and external. This role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables simultaneously.

You will:

Lead the SmartStore project roll-out for the Merchandising department in project stores.Plan store capacity within the project scope.Develop and execute income, allocation, and exit strategy plans for project stores.Ensure project stores are maintained in alignment with capacity management principles.Take action on both performing and non-performing inventory, including allocation adjustments, replenishment, and exit strategies.Define in-store replenishment scope using IDQ (Ideal Display Quantity).Work closely with project store teams, including frequent travel to support implementation.Coach and support project stores in adopting new ways of working related to capacity management and in-store replenishment.Collaborate closely with global functions to gather insights and best practices from project stores.Expect semi-frequent business travel as part of the role.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with colleagues from Merchandising, Inventory & Optimization, Store Operations, Global Functions, as well as the Sales Market teams, Area teams, and Retail Space teams. Together, you'll ensure a smooth and efficient rollout of the SmartStore project. Your role will involve cross-functional collaboration to drive results, optimize inventory management processes, and enhance retail space utilization, fostering strong teamwork across all departments.

Strong retail knowledge and understanding of operational best practices in physical stores.Experience in merchandising or a sales-related function.Background in allocation, replenishment, or inventory management systems (meriting).Experience in project management (meriting).Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and create action plans.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Fluency in English (written and spoken).
