Job Title: Inventory Management Support Job Code: 17644 Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: The Inventory Management Support C verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and shipping requirements. Essential Functions: + Log shipments into programs used in the shipping department. + Operate power forklifts and pallet jacks. + Package materials and accessories. + Mark items with proper numbers and labels. + Stack and locate packaged material for later shipment. + Operate packing machinery to properly protect material. + Coordinate with transportation companies and use all carrier related computer programs. + Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. + Build crates, pallets and other wooden items that may be shipped around the world. + Lift and move 30+ pound packages. Qualifications: + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2-8 years of prior shipping/receiving experience. + 2 years professional experience reading and understanding dimension/packaging requirements + 2 years professional experience with packaging material required + 1 year professional experience building custom crates, pallets and other wooden items for long distance shipping, utilizing basic carpentry and custom wood working skills. Preferred Additonal Skills: + Applicant with shipping experience in a military environment, packaging and crating per military requirements are very encouraged to apply. + Proficient computer skills (e.g.: interfacing with inventory control systems, spreadsheets, data entry systems, etc.) + Ability to walk, stand, bend and lifting for long periods of time + Supporting government audits + High attention to detail and accuracy + Basic computer skills are essential + Good written and verbal communication skills both within the group as well as to assist customers on the phone and in-person L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
