Summary of the Position:

The inventory cycle counter is responsible for accurate and on-going cycle counts and reconciliations.

Essential (E)Functions Performed55%EPhysically counts random locations and compares to perpetual on-hand quantities. Consistently maintains accurate perpetual inventories by cycle counting random locations. 20%EOperates forklift in a safe manner to perform responsibilities.10%EAssists in the reconciliation of cycle count variances and updating inventory system.15%EInvestigates inventory variances created through receiving, receiving data entry, usage, destruction, shipping and shipping data entry errors against perpetual inventories.10%EAssists to ensure assigned inventory storage locations are maintained.10%EAssists to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) system is maintained.5%EMakes appropriate recommendations to inventory control supervisor regarding methods to improve inventory accuracies and efficiencies.Continually Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas. Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Knowledge:  ·         One plus years of experience in general warehousing or inventory.  Sit-down and stand-up forklift certification required. Cherry picker and pallet rider certification preferred.
