Job Description

Our distribution business is experiencing transformative growth—with no end in sight. 

That’s why we’re looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor for our Garland, UT, distribution center. As the leader on the team, you will plan and monitor daily labor needs based on immediate and forecasted order workload. The position also requires partnering and working with the leadership team to effectively communicate achievements and challenges throughout the day. Applicants should have a strong sense of urgency and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate also possesses superb attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple projects and strong interpersonal skills to help lead and inspire our team to do their best work.  

A day in the office looks like this: 

Creating and implementing standards and metrics for the team Answering operational questions, reassigning work and training associates     Understanding the goals for the day and ensuring they are met accurately and efficiently Encouraging teamwork and obtaining a high level of associate morale and recognition    Ensuring cycle counts and inventory research are conducted, and inventory is being processed back to stock   Monitoring and ensuring timely completion of special projects related to inventory Ensuring the organization and physical appearance of the Inventory Control department are in order     Developing employee performance by appraising, coaching and counseling    Developing ongoing process improvements to ensure efficiency for all associates   Keeping manager and other department leadership apprised of activities and needs within their assigned area Complying with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and receiving requirements; enforcing safety policies and techniques  

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

3+ years total warehouse experience Must have distribution center operations experience WMS, RF and related DC technology experience preferred High school diploma or GED recommended Able to operate an RF scanner Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math and write legibly Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues within their area Must be detail-oriented and have a working knowledge of inventory procedures High achiever/performer; results-oriented and strives for maximum service needs Flexible and dependable Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with warehouse receiving clerk, receivers and other members of the leadership team Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking through entire shift; constant lifting (up to 49 pounds), twisting and bending
