Inventory Control Manager

As Inventory Control Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing inventory levels, improving accuracy, and driving strategic initiatives that directly impact our operations and customer satisfaction.

This is a high-impact, highly visible role with no direct reports, ideal for a hands-on problem solver and process optimizer looking to make a meaningful difference.

What you’ll do as an Inventory Control Manager:Continually identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement inventory related processes to reduce costs, waste, and lead times while exceeding customers' expectations.  Lead analytical studies targeting inventory process improvement.Set inventory levels and re-order points for all stocking areas through PFEP (Plan For Every Part) analysis.Plan, initiate, and assist in cycle count programs to improve inventory accuracy and ensure count frequencies are adhering with company requirements.Use Lean principles to analyze fact-based performance metrics and data, understand, and apply the numbers while explaining and addressing inventory discrepancies.Plan and conduct annual physical inventories as established by management.  Determine actions to achieve YOY improvements in inventory accuracy.Establish and lead programs to reduce inventory while maintaining on-time delivery goals.Develop and implement appropriate work instructions / process plans and perform necessary training to support the supply chain while emphasizing the role of inventory management within the Supply Chain.Support continuous improvement efforts, identify corrective actions, and implement appropriate countermeasures.Recommend, support, and implement processes of Inventory Control for Rotex Global sites.Perform other assignments or duties appropriate to the overall responsibility of the position. 

The Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities need:5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment (preferably in heavy industrial equipment, automotive, or similar industries).Proven experience implementing and managing cycle counting programs and conducting physical inventories.Demonstrated ability to balance inventory reduction with on-time delivery goals.Hands-on experience with Plan For Every Part (PFEP) analysis to determine optimal inventory levels and reorder points.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for inventory control and forecasting.Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training teams on inventory processes.Experience managing inventory across multiple stocking locations or manufacturing sites.Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

What will set you apart from other candidates:Proven experience in cost-reduction initiatives and improving inventory turns.Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements related to inventory control and quality assurance.Demonstrated success in implementing enterprise-wide inventory control strategies.Advanced skills in Smartsheet, Excel, data analytics, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) to interpret and present inventory metrics.APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification.
